i shot a fawn::When i lived in the up, when the snow got too deep for ground foraging, the deer would band together in huge herds and move together looking for food.
I believe there is also some benefits for staying warm and fighting off predators when yarding too.
Anyway, there would be groups of 100500 deer literally all bunched together like cattle.
They also seem to lose some fear of humans as the overriding need for food drives them.
I know it increases their survival rate, but there is definitely starvation and big time predation.
Nature can sure be cruel.
